Today’s Bets: Part 2

The Fundamentals

Chris Paul v ATL

  • Stake: 2 Units

  • Minimum Acceptable Odds: $4.75+

  • Best Bookmaker: Sportsbet

  • Other Bookmakers: Pointsbet.

My Thoughts:

CP3 is off to a great start this season in terms of his passing averaging over 12.2apg. He's hit this line in 5 out of 7 games and sees a matchup against the Hawks who are giving up plenty of assists to Point Guards and not many points. I think it's nicely setup for Chris Paul to go and setup his team mates. Go CP3 🔥🔥🔥

Trae Young v PHX

  • Stake: 3 Units

  • Minimum Acceptable Odds: $3.50+

  • Best Bookmaker: Pointsbet

  • Other Bookmakers: Sportsbet.

My Thoughts:

It is possible we might be betting on some Trae Over points soon if this line keeps coming down, today we stick with under points and over assists. He has done this twice against the Suns and several times this season as well, last year this would also of been a good bet. Go Trae, pass the ball!

Russell Westbrook v POR

  • Stake: 2 Units

  • Minimum Acceptable Odds: $4.50+

  • Best Bookmaker: Sportsbet

  • Other Bookmakers: Ladbrokes & Pointsbet.

My Thoughts:

Averaging 20.2ppg 8.4rpg 8.1apg. With LeBron out and Anthony Davis listed as questionable. I think today is the day we get the full Russell Westbrook experience. He's hit this line once so far this season let's see if he can make it twice. Lets go Brodie 🔥🔥🔥

Today’s Bets

The Fundamentals

Jimmy Butler v UTA

  • Stake: 1.5 Units

  • Minimum Acceptable Odds: $5.00+

  • Best Bookmaker: Sportsbet

  • Other Bookmakers: Ladbrokes.

My Thoughts:

Jimmys off to a good start this season. He's averaging 24.4ppg 6.5rpg 5.1apg. Two of the top defenses in the league face off this morning so it should be a hard fought game. Jimmy has hit this line 1 game this season and 17 times since last season. Go Jimmy.

Joel Embiid

  • Stake: 1.5 Units

  • Minimum Acceptable Odds: $7.50+

  • Best Bookmaker: Pointsbet

  • Other Bookmakers: Sportsbet & Ladbrokes.

My Thoughts:

Now before we get started Joel healthy in his prime is the best player in the league IMO. No other player has the 2 way impact except for Giannis difference being Embiid can hit his FTs and 3s at a high clip. I had money on him for MVP at odds and was counting my winnings until injury struck.

This is the issue with Embiid. Health. And from what I've seen thus far this season he isn't healthy. The numbers paint another picture also he's scoring a career low 28.2% of his points in the paint and also shooting a career low 41.2% from the field. Do I think these numbers hold over the course of the full season? No. But it tells us something is up atm. The only area where Joel is really performing well statistically is passing averaging a career high 4.1apg. My take is that he's letting other guys take the load and saving his body a little.

Joel has hit this line in 4 of 8 games this season including 1 of 1 vs the Chicago Bulls. He has one 30 point 18 rebound stand out effort on the season, but other than that has been very quiet. The Bulls for their part are a top 10 defensive unit which is a little surprising they are doing ok against the Center position again surprising but it's how it is and why they are 6-2 to start the season.

Zach LaVine v PHI

  • Stake: 2.5 Units

  • Minimum Acceptable Odds: $4.00+

  • Best Bookmaker: Pointsbet

  • Other Bookmakers: Sportsbet

My Thoughts:

The Bulls are off to 6-2 start this season and Zach LaVine has been a massive part of it. He's been doing a little bit of everything this season and has hit this line 4 of 8 games. 23 games in total since last season.

Jayson Tatum v DAL

  • Stake: 2.5 Units

  • Minimum Acceptable Odds: $4.00+

  • Best Bookmaker: Pointsbet

  • Other Bookmakers: Sportsbet

My Thoughts:

He's hit this line in 2 games this season and is averaging 22.7ppg 8.1rpg 3.4apg. So a slow start for Jayson. His teammate Jaylen Brown is listed as out for the game vs the Mavericks. In his last 14 games without JB Tatum has hit this line 7 times, he really lifts and the Celtics will need a big performance from him if they want to win on the road in Dallas.

Early Bets

The Fundamentals

Nikola Jokic v HOU

  • Stake: 2 Units

  • Minimum Acceptable Odds: $4.5+

  • Best Bookmaker: Pointsbet

  • Other Bookmakers: Sportsbet

My Thoughts:

The reigning MVP is playing at an MVP calibre level this season. He’s averaging 25.1ppg 13.4rpg 5.6apg and has hit this line in 2 of 8 games this season, 29 of his past 80. He faces the Rockets tomorrow a team he hit this line against in 2 games last season and went close to hitting 3 triple doubles against. Now the Rockets are the worst team in the league when it comes to guarding opposing Centers , tomorrow they face a great Center. My take is that the Nuggets will run through Jokic like they do and he will be able to score, rebound and assist well. But will lean towards facilitating a little more than scoring.
